What is included in a septic system inspection .
 ( 1 ) Check for proper drainage at the fixtures .
 ( 2 ) Attempt to locate the septic tank and drain field . Some times it is not possible  due to the ground being very hard . Some times buildings are also built over the tank. 
 ( 3 ) I probe in the yard with a steel rod to locate the septic tank and drain field .
 ( 4 ) I probe in the yard over the septic system drain field area ,to check for possible sewer water surfacing that would indicate the system failing .
 ( 5 ) I inspect for proper drainage around the septic system .
 ( 6 ) I inspect for minimal distance from septic system to a water supply well . Minimal is 50 feet  . FHA is 75 to 100 Feet .
 ( 7 ) At an added fee I will remove the septic tank cover and inspect inside the visable areas of the tank and the sanitary ( T ) for condition and needed for pumping and cleaning .
